Message Jim Wolf Technology simply saw that the market for 1996 TT's was not nearly big enough to warrant doing the research on modding OBDII ECU's.

However, when the 350Z came along, Jim Wolf closely worked with Nissan to develop an aftermarket ECU for it. Once they had the process of modding OBDII ECU's down and had the 350Z's ECU taken care of, they went back and made an ECU for 96TT's.

Had the 350Z not come along, JWT would have never developed an ECU for the 96TT.
